| Q4. | How are Ansun Zipper Sliders Coded, what is the terminology used? | ||||||||||||||||||||
| A4. | ANSUN Sliders are coded in a manner, which
is easy to understand. Each Slider code comprises of 6 parts. Let us take an Example for quicker understanding
1. The first part is the alphabet, as M in above example; this alphabet represents the type of Zipper on which the Slider will be used. The various options are
2. The second part is a two digit number which describes about the Body of the slider. a. Out of these two digits, the first digit represents the size of the Zipper which is 5 in the above example and the options available are 3 4 5 6 7 8 X for size #3, #4, #5, #6, #7, #8 & #10 respectively. b. The next digit indicates the type of locking of the Slider, which is 2 in the above example, which means Autolock. Options available for various types of locking are 0 - Non Lock 1 - Pin Lock 2 - Auto Lock 3 - Notch Lock 4 - Spring Lock / Cam Lock 5 - Double Puller-Non Lock type 6 - Pad Lock 7 - Front Lock 8 - Euro type Auto Lock 9 - Reversible Puller-Non Lock Type B - Butter Fly Shape Auto Lock 3. The third part is a three digit number for the type of Puller being used in the Slider. 041 in the above example M52 041 is the number denoting Metal Autolock Std. Bell Puller. 4. The fourth part of the code indicates Brand name on the Puller. This is a 3 alphabet Brand name or a short name of the Brand name. BOY in the above example. 5. The fifth part of the code indicates the surface finish which is a 3 digit alphanumeric number indicating various painted & plated finishes. In the above example 590 means Nickel. Options available for the various surface finishes are as per colour chart ( Ver 2-D98 & Ver 3-Col-02 ). A list is also given as in FAQ # 7 above. 6. The sixth part in a single alphabet, as in most of the Fancy Sliders the pullers do not fit with the body directly, in such cases an intermediate Link is provided between Body and Puller, which is denoted by an alphabet at the sixth position in the code. In the above example the last digit M indicates an M-link. The various types of linkages available are given in the Slider catalogue section. |
